On Pursuing Your Passions

Good morning, all!

It's Labor Day and we're celebrating our hard work and dedication by taking a break. No matter if you have the day off or not, it's important to reflect on your contribution to the world at some point today.

Personally, I've been feeling blessed. I started this business four months ago and am still going strong! I knew that I had to do this, and I'm so grateful for the support I've received so far. I never imagined I would start my own business, but I dreamt it could happen. After reading up on my dream and realizing it could be a reality, I took up some courage and jumped in.

I'm still learning, and I know I'm not where I could be (oh boy, that's for sure) but I'm in. Pursuing your passions isn't bad - if it's your passion and you do it well, it can be the best. But it's about weighing your costs, being realistic and finding your joy in every part of the process.

I think society can chalk up creative jobs as not practical - crazy, right! But it's like any other business - you have a budget, keep up with finances, produce your best work possible, and bring something new to the world in the process. It's about your drive, how much you want this dream to be real. (For more on starting from the ground up, check out this book).

To my fellow dreamers: pursue. Be diligent. Fail (multiple times). Succeed (sometimes). Be realistic. Make it simple. Have faith. If you haven't started, try. If you're in the middle, keep going. Know that you have a great purpose, no matter what.

If you want to see what I've been dreaming up, visit my shop anytime. I think Etsy is having a sale today if you're interested.

Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Much love,
India
