Dreamy Styled Shoot

Hi there, friends!

I mentioned in October that big things were happening and today I'm finally able to share it! I was fortunate enough to provide a wedding card set for a styled shoot hosted by my friend, Shanda (read her Q&A here!). She brought together some incredibly talented vendors to produce the beautiful wedding shoot below. Seriously, this woman is a superhero. It was a dream come true for a new business like mine and it was inspiring to work alongside other entrepreneurs.

If things weren't crazy enough...the photos are going to be featured on a bridal blog! When I heard the news, I might have screamed a little. This will be my first published work in my business, so it's a huge opportunity to expand my audience. Ultimately, I'm excited to have a platform to make more beautiful cards for beautiful people. I'll share more details on Instagram as they happen!

Here are the parts of the set (or as I call them, my "babies"):

- Invitation with garland
- Menu with four courses
- RSVP card with garland
- Name cards
- Envelope with address

I used rusted red and green brush pens for all of the designs to play off of the shoot's theme. I grabbed menu ideas and names from wedding menus I'd seen and the things that I would want at my own wedding (i.e. lemon tarts, lemon tarts and more lemon tarts). The handmade paper brought it all together and gave it a bohemian look, and it worked well with the brush pens. You can pick it up yourself here.

It couldn't have been better timing as I sent the cards to the shoot the week my fiancé proposed! It was definitely the most exciting week of my life. When I looked back on photos from the week, I realized I had used the proposal date in one of my sketches! Coincidence much? More photos from that day here :)

We had some amazing vendors on board; you can find them on Instagram here:

As for the shoot, I'm swooning. My second love is with photography, so seeing the beautiful tones and the photographers' ability to capture these moments was awe inspiring. The rainy day brought out the lovely colors in the shoot - the umbrella was a brilliant addition - and inspired me as I hope it does for others.

Enjoy!

Love,
India
