New Reads - Calligraphy Made Easy

Hi all! I've got a new read for all of the handlettering aficionados out there ;)

So I'm an avid Barnes and Noble goer (if you are too, we're probably best friends). I was eyeing the notebooks - as I always do - and came across a wonderful book by an entrepreneur named Ashley Gardner. She sells beautiful designs and provides learning resources to other calligraphy artists. I decided to pick it up yesterday and I'm already excited to get into it!

Her book promotes #nofusscalligraphy, from start to finish. She gives you the lowdown on brushes and key terms, then pages of warm-up drills you can practice with in developing your own handlettering style. She includes some beautiful hand-drawn images as well to practice your layout in final works.

I'm already blown away by the amount of talent and dedication Gardner puts into her work! I'll let you know how it goes, but I have a feeling it'll be a game changer for me. You can check out the book here and her website with all social media links here.

Sidenote: she didn't ask me to promote her business - I just believe in her work and I want you to know about her! Practice is such an essential part of growth and its materials like these that can help us creatives along.

Have a fabulous day!
